Winter Appeal
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area provides kids with safe and fun afterschool experiences and other programs throughout Albany and Rensselaer counties.
BGCCA has been helping local families meet unique and challenging needs for over 130 years but we cannot do it alone. With your help we can ensure that our youth continue to have a safe place to go with access to food, technology and caring mentors.
2024
This year has been one of incredible progress and impact for our Clubs, but there is still so much more we can do!
Daily Support of 1,000 Youth: Every day, our Clubs open their doors to more than 1,000 children & teens, providing them with a safe space, nutritious meals, academic support, and opportunities to build character & leadership skills.
Feeding Our Community: This year alone, we have served over 200,000 meals to children and families in need. Donations ensure that we continue to fight food insecurity in our community, offering sustenance and peace of mind to those who rely on our services.
Expand Educational Opportunities: We enhance our educational programs, offering tutoring, STEM activities, and literacy support to help curb learning loss and set our youth on a path to success.
Supporting Families in Need: We provide free and discounted summer camps, sports leagues, and enriching activities that might otherwise be out of reach for many families. These programs are more than just fun; they are essential to development and well-being.
Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: We’re dedicated to providing college exposure and career readiness programs that equip teens with tools and confidence they need to pursue higher education and new careers.
