Stop The Violence Rally 2024

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area held the 2024 STOP THE VIOLENCE Rally on Monday, Nov. 11 at Dana Park, in Albany, NY.

This peaceful event provided a call to action and a call for unity around the ongoing gun violence in the Capital Area. The rally, in it's fourth year, included community speakers as well as performances by Club youth. This Project Rise event was held on Veterans Day so that students could attend on their day off from school.

“We’ve got kids represented from Rensselaer and Albany counties,” said David Gordon, BGCCA Regional Director of Programs. “These are our future, and if we don’t all cater to them and give them the tools necessary to succeed, they’re going to fall to all the violence in the area.”
