Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA) offers a Period Pantry out in front of the Albany Clubhouse, 21 Delaware Ave, which is accessible 24-hours a day.
Why A Period Pantry Is Important
Individuals are able to access free menstrual products at their convenience. This small, outdoor, weather-protected container offers a variety of period products in multiple sizes and absorbencies. These boxes are never locked and operate just like a Little Free Library or Little Food Pantry.
The goal is to make it easy for individuals in in our community to access the period products they need, whenever they need them.
A special thank you to our community partners Capital Region Menstrual Health (CRMH) and St. Peter's Health Partners for collaborating with BGCCA to install this Period Pantry just outside the Albany Clubhouse. This free pantry allows anyone in the area 24/7 access to menstrual products, regardless of income, lack of transportation, or any other barrier.
