Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area is proud to provide a place where kids can safely connect with others, and build the skills and confidence needed to reach great futures. In so many ways the success of our organization depends on the generous support from corporate partners who can make a direct impact on our inner city youth.
Bridgestone’s Driving Great Futures partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs has been a
nationwide, community-focused initiative since 2015. When the partnership began, Boys & Girls Clubs of America identified reliable and safe transportation as one of the biggest challenges preventing kids from gaining access to high impact out-of-school programming. Since 2015, they’ve answered that challenge by providing transportation and van grants and has donating more than $20 million to Clubs across the country through the Driving Great Futures partnership.
On this day, December 8, 2022, they presented Boys & Girls Clubs of Capital Area with a new van! We threw a pizza party to celebrate. The kids loved it.

BGCCA will use the van to safely and reliably transport our Club Kids to and from programs and field trips, take our teens and those in our Workforce Development program to college visits and job interviews, and provide otherwise inaccessible opportunities for our kids. Bridgestone also ensured we have safe & reliable transportation on top of those best in class Bridgestone tires. The team even brought a trunk full of gifts including basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, art supplies, and more, for use at the Troy Clubhouse.
Thanks to Bridgestone's generosity, we’ll continue to impact more young people by providing them with safe spaces, positive mentors, and the life-enhancing programs they need to thrive.
