The 2024 Chip-In Fore Youth Golf Tournament, presented by IBEW Local 236, was held on Friday, June 14 at the Town of Colonie Golf Course and was a great success!
Thank you to all of our golfers, volunteers and sponsors for participating in our 6th annual event! All proceeds raised go toward BGCCA youth programming.
Luckily, the day was far from the predicted gloomy weather! The Lyricism 101 RV arrived onsite with Albany Clubhouse Manager, David Gordon, making sure everyone had musical motivation. 230 golfers enjoyed coffee and donuts while golf pro Noel Gebauer laid out the rules of the day.
Then it was time to play! The four courses each included a few unique and interactive holes designed to make everyone feel like a kid again. These included elements like frisbee, croquet, t-ball, ring toss, and lawn darts. The golf cannons proved once again to be popular and fun!
There were also traditional golf contests for drives, putting, and hole-in-one. Lunch and reception provided by Martel's Grill & Bar. Raffle winners and contest awards were announced at the reception with remarks from Chief Development Officer Pat Doyle.
Thank you to everyone for supporting BGCCA safe havens and programs including Universal Pre-K, Afterschool, Summer Camp, Teens, and more.
