2024-25 Kwanzaa

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area celebrated Kwanzaa with the community in Albany and Troy, NY.



BGCCA in partnership with The Capital Region’s Kwanza Coalition hosted the second day of Kwanzaa on Dec. 27th at the Albany Clubhouse with 135 in attendance. The event featured a lecture of “Kujichagulia” which means self determination, performances, vendors and kids corner for arts and crafts. Teens and workforce youth were also in attendance to participate.


Together, we also hosted the last day of Kwanzaa on Jan. 1st at the Troy Clubhouse with 50 in attendance. The event featured a lecture of “Imani” which means faith as well as vendors and food
