  • What are Boys & Girls Clubs?
    Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe spaces for youth in Albany and Rensselaer counties with trained staff, leadership development and community resources. Since 1892, BGCCA has been serving the Capital Area with critical programming for the youth who need us most. Learn more about our history: www.bgccapitalarea.org/history
  • What are the hours of operation?
    Office hours are between 9am-5pm. Program hours vary. Visit our program page www.bgccapitalarea.org/programs or call the Albany Clubhouse at 518-462-5528 or the Troy Clubhouse at 518-274-3781 for more information.
  • How much does a membership cost?

  • Do either Clubhouses have a pool?
    Yes! Our Troy Clubhouse at 1700 7th Ave, Troy NY 12180 has an indoor pool and we also operate the South Troy Pool. Learn more on our Pool page: www.bgccapitalarea.org/pool
  • How many youth does BGCCA serve?
    BGCCA serves thousands of children and their families each year, with our UPK classrooms, Clubhouses and expanded food program. See all that we do: www.bgccapitalarea.org/programs
  • Is BGCCA open during the summer?

  • What is your closure policy?
    If an unexpected closure occurs, due to weather or other emergency, notifications will delivered immediately on social media and signs will be posted on the building doors. Please be sure keep your emergency contact and cell phone information updated to receive any notifications! Follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Where does BGCCA get its funding?
    BGCCA, an independent non-profit organization, relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations, who donate money as well as time and expertise. See all of the options available on our Give page: www.bgccapitalarea.org/give.
  • Do you rent your facilities?
    Yes, our Albany and Troy facilities are available for rent, schedule permitting. Visit our Space Rental page for more info: www.bgccapitalarea.org/rental
  • Do people remain connected to the Club?
    Boys & Girls Clubs have alums numbering in the tens of thousands, living locally and across the country. Today, many Club alums are involved in assisting the Club through service on boards and committees and through financial support. Take a look at the history of our Clubs or consider getting involved to support the next generation.
  • Are BGCCA financial statements available to view?
    BGCCA statements are available through the office of the Attorney General of New York State. You may call 212-416-8402 or visit the website of the Attorney General of NYS. The Club receives a professional audit annually.
